Custom CRM for Insurance Brokerage
Built a custom CRM system for an insurance brokerage firm in El Salvador. The platform manages client portfolios, policy lifecycle tracking, renewal alerts, commission calculations, and sales pipeline visibility.
Problem
The brokerage managed policies, renewals, and commissions across multiple disconnected spreadsheets. Sales reps had no visibility into their pipeline, and renewal reminders were manual and unreliable.
Solution
Custom CRM built with Laravel and Filament, integrated with MySQL. Features include automated renewal alerts, commission tracking by agent, policy lifecycle management, and a sales dashboard with key metrics.
Impact
Centralized operations into a single platform. Sales team now has real-time pipeline visibility. Renewal tracking is automated, reducing missed renewals.
Human Resources & Payroll System
Designed and built an HR and payroll management system covering employee records, attendance tracking, leave management, salary calculations, deductions, and payslip generation. The system handles El Salvador's labor law requirements including AFP, ISSS, and income tax withholdings.
Problem
The client managed employee records, attendance, and payroll calculations manually or with generic tools not adapted to Salvadoran labor law. Monthly payroll processing was time-consuming and error-prone.
Solution
Custom HR/Payroll system built with Laravel, React, and PostgreSQL. Automates salary calculations with AFP (pension), ISSS (social security), and ISR (income tax) deductions per Salvadoran legislation. Includes employee self-service for leave requests and payslip access.
Impact
Payroll processing time significantly reduced. Eliminated calculation errors in legal deductions. Employees can access their information directly, reducing HR administrative load.
